Have you often wished that you could add more hours to your day?
Are you struggling to find the time to do everything you want?
If that is the case, you should try to learn all you can about time management.
The following advice can be used to better manage your time.
If focus is hard to achieve, set your timer for the time you have available to work.
You can break this time into increments to make it easier and less tedious for yourself.

Plan as far in advance as you can and work a day or two in advance.
You can get a jump on your workday by making your chores list a day ahead.
You won’t have to waste any time the next day with a reminder list.
If you’re trying to rush to get places, you need to start worrying more about deadlines.
When you know that a deadline is looming, your other tasks are going to take a back seat and everything suffers.
By keeping on top of deadlines and appointment times, you will not have to leave important matters unattended to take care of things you have put off.

Step back for a minute and look at how you are working right now.
If you’re not concentrating on tasks and sticking with them until they’re complete, ask yourself why.
This is the first step in improving your use of time.
If you have a hard time managing your time, make a to-do list the night before.
Use a to-do to help you plan your future days.
When you do this, your mind can relax and you can free up the pressure of time the next day.
Any time that you realize that you’re having difficulties managing your time, reflect on how you’re using your time. Are you using it wisely?
Check your voice mails and emails only when you have set aside time for them.
Checking constantly during the day will interfere with your time for other things.

Many people are stressed out because they don’t know how to decline offers to do something.
If you don’t have time for everything, look and see what is on your list.
Look for items that can be delegated.
Delegating to family and friends can be very helpful.
If you want more efficiency at work, feel free to close the door to your office.
This will show that you do not want to be bothered.
Closing the door grants instant privacy.
This should help with your productivity.

Unless you really have to do so, it’s not good to answer the phone, instant messages, or text while you’re busy with other things.
It can make it hard to return to your train of thought you had before the interruption.
Wait until your task is complete to check your messages.
You should always try to stay on task to improve every area of your life.
Don’t get too distracted by anything that happens when you’re doing this task.
People may ask you to do other tasks while you’re working.
Don’t allow anyone to do that.
Complete one task before moving on to another.
List everything you have to do every day, and make sure you list them in the order that they are important.
Work on the next task when you finish one of them.
If it is hard to remember everything on the list, carry a copy with you.
Using the advice shared here will help you to be more efficient with your time.

Use your work time wisely so that you will have more leisure time for yourself and your hobbies and interests.
